Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Relmory: privacy, local-first data, getting started, and more.

What is Relmory?
Relmory is a private, local-first relationship memory app and personal CRM built around People and Moments.

It helps you remember more than contact details by keeping conversations, shared experiences, important dates, reminders, notes, photos, short videos, voice, links, screenshots, and other meaningful context connected to the people and Moments they belong to.

Relmory can be used for professional relationships, friends and family, partners, and Moments from your own life.
How is Relmory different from a traditional personal CRM?
Traditional personal CRM tools often focus on contacts, interaction history, last-contacted dates, follow-ups, and networking workflows.

Relmory takes a relationship memory approach.

People are the index, and Moments preserve the memory. You can keep selected conversations, experiences, media, dates, reminders, and other context without needing to turn every person into a lead, opportunity, pipeline stage, or scheduled follow-up.
Who is Relmory for?
Relmory is for people who want to remember relationships and meaningful life context more clearly.

You might use it for clients, collaborators, mentors, former colleagues, and professional contacts; for friends, family members, and partners; or for your own personal Moments, thoughts, experiences, and memories.

The same People-and-Moments model can work across both professional and personal life.
What is a Moment in Relmory?
A Moment is a piece of memory worth preserving.

It might represent a conversation, shared experience, personal thought, meaningful detail, photograph, short video, voice note, link, screenshot, recommendation, family story, professional insight, or something you want to revisit later.

A Moment can be connected to a person when the relationship matters, or it can stand on its own when it is about your own life.
Does every Moment need to be connected to another person?
No.

A Moment can be about another person, a shared experience, or something from your own life.

You can use Relmory to preserve personal thoughts, decisions, photos, short videos, voice notes, screenshots, ideas, travel memories, and other experiences even when nobody else needs to be connected to the Moment.
What can I save in a Relmory Moment?
A Moment can preserve different forms of context, including text, photos, short videos, voice recordings, local speech-to-text transcripts where supported, links, screenshots, and OCR-derived content.

The goal is not to force every memory into the same format. Use the form that best preserves what you want to remember.
Can I use Relmory for both personal and professional relationships?
Yes.

You can use the same relationship memory model for professional contacts such as clients, collaborators, mentors, former colleagues, and partners, as well as for friends, family members, and other people in your personal life.

Relmory does not require professional relationships to become sales opportunities, and it does not require personal relationships to become follow-up workflows.
Where is my relationship data stored?
Relmory is designed around a local-first approach.

Core relationship data — such as People, Moments, notes, important dates, reminders, and related relationship context — lives primarily on your device rather than requiring a central cloud relationship database.
Does Relmory require my relationship history to be stored in a central cloud account?
No.

The core Relmory relationship memory model is designed to work without requiring your everyday relationship history to be stored in a central cloud relationship database.

Some operational services may still use limited server-side data for functions such as licensing, activation, security, releases, and payment-related services.
What happens to my local Relmory data if I uninstall the app?
Uninstalling the app removes the app’s local data from that device according to the operating system’s normal app-removal behavior.

Any separate backups, exports, or copies you created outside the app are separate and are not removed simply because the app was uninstalled.

Because core relationship memory is local-first, you should consider your own backup or export needs before removing the app or changing devices.
Can I save screenshots from social apps as relationship Moments?
Yes.

If you already saw something that you personally found worth remembering, you can preserve a screenshot as part of a Moment and connect it to the relevant person when appropriate.

This can be useful for meaningful photos, words, professional updates, recommendations, interests, or other social context that may later disappear or become difficult to find.

Relmory is intended for selective personal memory, not for automatically monitoring or archiving another person’s entire social activity.
What does OCR do in Relmory?
OCR helps turn visible text from an image or screenshot into text that can be preserved and reviewed alongside the original visual content.

For example, a screenshot may contain a meaningful social post, recommendation, address, event detail, or other useful information. OCR-derived content can make that text easier to revisit while the screenshot and relationship context remain together.
Can Relmory turn voice notes into text?
Where supported, Relmory can use local speech-to-text to create a transcript from spoken content.

This can make a voice note easier to scan and revisit while the original recording remains part of the Moment.

Availability may depend on the device, operating system, language, and local speech capabilities.
